To the rear of the house there is a large parking area for our guests providing a safe and secure area to leave your car.

To the right of the hotel are the spacious library gardens ablaze with azaleas and rhododendrons in the spring and also just 5 minute's walk to is the public park with children's play area, tennis courts and cricket ground.

Opposite the walk down Birthwaite road leads past another public garden and some very grand houses with private gardens to Rayrigg Road then a short path to Lake Windermere.

Around the area there is a wealth of things to see and do. Cruise on Windermere, visit the boat museum, aquarium of the lakes, steam railway or the Beatrix Potter Exhibition in Bowness.

Only a short journey further there are Stately Homes, Motor museums and the homes of Wordsworth, Ruskin and Beatrix Potter. With Walks and views abound-it is just a matter of choosing where.
